Open Data Week is a festival of community-driven events that celebrates the many ways New Yorkers engage with the free public data about their city. The 2021 festival was jointly organized by the NYC Mayor’s Office of Data Analytics, BetaNYC, and Data Through Design. Now in its fifth year, Open Data Week takes place during the first week of March to celebrate New York City’s Open Data Law, which was signed into law on March 7, 2012, and International Open Data Day which is typically the first Saturday in March.
This year, we did things a bit differently with more than 150 virtual and outdoor events allowing people to learn and share their work around open data, technology, and design. We invite you to check out the program here and watch recordings of some of the events below!
